Rehabilitation of 7-km-long coastal corniche between St. Georges Hotel and Summerland Hotel. Ports & Marine Works

Works consist of reclaiming areas from the sea and from land with an approximate quantity of 1,185,000 m³ of general fill material and 515,000 m³ of structural fill material, dredging soft and hard seabed materials and installing a vertical drain to accelerate the settlement process of the soft soil under the seabed. To retain all reclamations works, sheet piles were used on the north side. On the east bund, slope and scour protection was installed comprising accropodes, 9 m³ each, and 2 to 4 tons of rocks constituting the boundary with the Beirut River. Works included constructing a 500 m x 34 m new quay composed from a deck structure (26,000 m³ concrete) on 574 steel piles (1.3 m diameter, 30-70 m deep), and executing surface works of the container terminal, such as infrastructure works and utilities (drainage, sewage, potable water, fire-fighting, electrical works) as well as concrete base slab (62,300 m³) and concrete pavers for 178,000 m².

Port of Beirut, Extension of Quay 16 & Container Terminal

120,000 m³ of underwater rock excavation, 550,000 m³ of dredging up to 39 m, 150,000 m³ of concrete, 2,000,000 tons of rock, in addition to a 600-m long quay and 5.50-meter-long breakwater. Infrastructure works. Hardscaping and surface pavers of 65,000 m² of container docks.

Industrial Civil Works

The project includes the development of rainwater runoff lines in the Bardot-East and West watersheds by lining the canals, stabilizing the embankments, building retention basins, developing watershed outlets and dredging the lakes. It is part of the "Ivory Coast Infrastructure Renaissance Project-Additional Financing (PRI-CI-FA)."

Construction of drainage structures in the communes of Cocody and Yopougon, city of Abidjan, Lot 1. The project is part of the "Program for the Sustainable Improvement of the Sanitation and Drainage Situation in the City of Abidjan."

Primary Rainwater Drainage Channels, Bonoumin-Riviera Golf Basin, Cocody

Construction of an embankment dam with a height of 14 meters and a length of 250 meters as well as a downstream reinforced concrete structure with a length of 1,500 meters in Bonoumin in the Commune of Cocody.

Construction of B13 Dam and Downstream Structure, Bonoumin, Cocody

Construction of coastal sewer lines and pumping stations between Jiyeh and Ouadi Ezzeini. Works included about 1,700 LM UPVC pipes dia. 200-250 mm, 3,000 LM of reinforced concrete pipes, dia. 800 mm, 1,700 LM of GRP (pressure lines) dia. 700 mm, fittings, pumping station and reinstatement of trenches.

Coastal Sewer Lines & Pumping Station, Chouf

Construction of a new sewer collector between Ouad Ezzeini and Daraya. Works included about 14 km of reinforced concrete pipes, dia. 300-500 mm, house connections and reinstatement of trenches.

Daraya-Wadi Al-Zaini Sewer Line, Chouf

Road geotechnical consolidation. Execution of reinforced earth retaining walls. Execution of piles (8 cm diameter) and anchors. General soil consolidation works.

Baalechmay Landslide Stabilization, Chouf

Civil works for Zahrani power station including: industrial buildings, environmental works, site leveling, drainage, infrastructure works, breakwater, pumping station under sea level (5,000 m³ of reinforced concrete), seal pit with discharge channel (300 m long), road works. Works included: 620,000 m³ of earthwork, 39,200 m³ of reinforced concrete, 28,000 m³ of base courses and 34,000 tons of bituminous concrete. Ansaldo Energia Spa was the Main Contractor.

Zahrani Combined Cycle Power Plant (450 MW)

Construction of new infrastructure for 17 roads in Ghobeiry, storm water and sewer lines, sheet piling, water supply network, telephone ducts, street lightning, paving, asphalting and signalization.

Construction of 2 cylindrical drinking water reservoirs, 36 m in diameter and 16 m high with pre-stressed concrete walls. Capacity is 30,000 m³ each. Works include a station for pumps, manifold and treatment plant.

Excavation and laying of 34 km of asbestos cement pipes (700 mm, 600 mm & 500 mm). Excavation and laying of 6.2 km of C.I. pipes. Connection to water reservoirs and pumping stations.

Damour-Beirut New Water Supply Line

Construction of 4 water reservoirs (10,000 m³ each) with pre-stressed concrete walls. Works include a pumping station, a switching station, and all electro-mechanical equipment.

Four Water Reservoirs, Al-Fijeh River, Damascus

Construction of 2 cylindrical water reservoirs, 36 m in diameter and 16 m high with pre-stressed concrete walls. Capacity is 16,000 m³ each.

Water Reservoirs, Tallet el Khayat, Beirut

Works included 13,300 m of ductile C.l. pipes 500 mm diameter. Water reservoir capacity is 3,000 m³.

Water Supply for Daraa Town

Turnkey project to provide water intake on Mzeirib Lake. Works included: 34,000 m of ductile C.l. pipes 500 mm, 20,000 m of asbestos cement pipes 500 mm, 3 pumping stations comprising each: 3 motor pumps 250 m³/h, 3 generating sets 550 kVA each, 3 transformer stations, control & measuring equipment, and chlorination units.

Water Supply for Al-Swaida Town (Syria)

Works included clean-up and rehabilitation of Joun Basin, with associated excavation and earthworks as well as civil and concrete works.

Bisri River & Joun Basin Civil Works

Works included: 1,050,000 m³ of excavation, 1,200,000 m³ of compacted fill, 1,500,000m² of roads (unpaved), 18,000 m² of stone facing, 360,000 m² of concrete-lined canals, 3,600 m³ of concrete for structures.

Utility Networks

The project involves the installation of electrical and low-voltage networks for the navigation systems of two new airports. The scope of works includes the excavation of 15 km of underground trenches, the construction of 5 transformer rooms, and the laying of a 250-meter-long and 6-meter-wide asphalt road. The project must be completed and handed over within a 6-month timeframe.

Slayyeb-Baakline Road, Chouf

17 km of motorway between Namliyeh Bridge in the Bekaa and the vicinity of the Syrian Border. Works include over 2,000,000 m³ of earthwork and 230,000 m³ of concrete, and 3 viaducts (first is 165 m long, 8 m high; second is 450 m long, 45 m high; and third is 220 m long, 30 m high).

Pan Arab Highway, Lot A, Mdeirej-Chtaura-Taanayel, Bekaa

Rehabilitation and repair of the upper deck and columns of Nahr El Asfor and Chekka interchange. Works comprise jacking of slab, replacement of neoprene pads, sand blasting 1,400 m², shotcreting 140 m³, waterproofing and finishing works.

Rehabilitation of 43 km of urban expressway Wadi Zeine-Kfarhim, comprising 397,000 m³ of earthwork, 16,000 m³ of reinforced concrete, 12,000 m³ of base course, 46 km of water pipes, 14 km of telephone ducts and 730,000 tons of bituminous concrete.

Wadi Al-Zaini-Hasrout-Baakline Road Rehabilitation

Construction of 8 km highway, 900,000 m³ of rock excavation, 15,000 m³ of reinforced concrete, fly-overs, overpasses, box culverts and drainage system, 107,000 m³ of base course, 104,000 tons of bituminous concrete (Interrupted by war).

Construction of 14.4 km of highway comprising: earthworks (800,000 m³ rock excavation), 2 fly-overs, 9 overpasses, 19 culverts, bridge on Wadi Eddé with 3 spans (31 m, 34 m & 29 m) in pre-stressed concrete, drainage system, sub-base, base course, gravel cement base and bituminous concrete.

Tabarja-Tripoli Highway, Lot 2B, Jbeil-Batroun

Construction of 13 km of two-way motorways, comprising 2 tube tunnels each 400 m long. Works included: 1,800,000 m³ of earthwork (1,400,000 m³ of rock), fly-overs, overpasses, box culvers, drainage system, sub-base, base course, gravel and cement base, bituminous concrete. Concrete structures and walls 75,000 m³.

Tabarja-Tripoli Highway, Lot 3, Batroun-Chekka

Works included: 300 m of sea wall concrete foundation up to depths of 6 meters built with reinforced concrete caissons filled with concrete, 30 m span bridge over the sea, sea fills, road construction, drainage, side walls paving and asphalting.

Maritime Junction, Minet el Hosn, Beirut

Construction of two bridges: Nahr Ibrahim bridge has 3 spans (26 m, 40 m and 30 m with 2x14 m pre-stressed concrete), 20 m diaphragm walls for foundations in the river, and foundations on barrettes cast under bentonite 20 m deep. Nahr El-Fidar bridge has 2 arches 97 m long, 2 decks 132 m long & 14 m wide; its height is 35 m. Works included injection of mortar for foundations.

Tabarja-Tripoli Highway, Lot 1A, Bridges on Nahr Ibrahim & Nahr El-Fidar

Works included demolition of old pavement, excavation, 120,000 m² of concrete paving, refill base course and gravel, and cement sub-base.

This is the tallest office building in Lebanon. The project consists of 5 basements and a 30-story tower on a 3,000 m² land footprint. Total built-up area is 47,000 m².


Rive Gauche Tower, Beirut

Project is composed of 2 residential building blocks (B4 and B5) that are part of a larger mixed-use development located in the area of La Marina Joseph Khoury, Dbayeh. The complex will have a total gross built area of around 29,596 m², comprising 105 residential apartments, each building consisting of a ground floor, seven upper floors and an underground parking in the 2 basement levels. The construction site was a greenfield land with an area of approximately 6,873 m². Works include all concrete, civil, architectural, electro-mechanical and landscape works.

Lebanon WaterFront City, SP5, Dbayeh

Project is composed of 4 residential building blocks (B6 to B9) that are part of a larger mixed-use development located in the area of La Marina Joseph Khoury, Dbayeh. The complex will have a total gross built area of around 40,169 m², comprising 177 residential apartments, each building consisting of a ground floor, seven upper floors and an underground parking in the 2 basement levels. The construction site was a greenfield land with an area of approximately 8,391 m². Works include all concrete, civil, architectural, electro-mechanical and landscape works.

Lebanon WaterFront City, SP6, Dbayeh

Construction of an eco-village with BREEAM green certification in the Chouf mountains of Lebanon. In total harmony with its environment, the project includes a hotel, a restaurant and a spa.


The project consists of 8 basements, a ground floor with a landscaped area, and 11 floors, with a total built-up area of 18,000 m².

Gas Stations

The project consists of 2 filling stations, each encompassing 3,716 m², with a total built-up area of 1,951 m². The Works include execution of 4 underground fuel tanks, with 4 fuel filling dispensers and one diesel dispenser covered by a steel canopy and a convenience store, underground holding tank substations, a pump room, a prayer room, a garbage room and a vapor recovery room.

Complete construction and renovation of the new National Library of Lebanon. Funding was donated by the State of Qatar. The trades of works are: concrete, masonry, plastering, metals, wood & plastics, thermal & moisture protection, doors & windows, finishes, specialties (louvers & vents, toilet and bath accessories, signs), parking control equipment, fire alarm, landscaping (soft and hardscape), electrical and mechanical works.

The project involves the extension of the Collège Protestant Français in Beirut and includes the construction of a 7-level building housing classes, a sports center, a swimming pool, a cafeteria, and staff housing, a parking lot spread over 3 basement levels, and the renovation and creation of external facilities, as well as all associated interior finishes.
